Home Loop Systems
Home induction loop system for people who are hearing impaired
The home induction loop system provides everything required to help people who are hearing impaired hear the TV, hi-fi or radio better. Very easy to install (can usually be installed in less than an hour) simply by feeding a thin wire around the room. This is then kept in place either by clipping to the skirting board or by tucking under the carpet edge.
Induction loop system suitable for:
- tv rooms
- in car or mobile home
When a home induction loop system is installed people who are hearing impaired can use the hearing aid set to the 'T' position. The telecoil in the hearing aid picks up the magnetic waves produced by the loop system. A direct copy of the audio signal from the telly is now 'induced' in this coil and the hearing aid converts this electrical signal back to audible sound for the wearer to hear. In this way, someone sitting in the lounge can clearly hear the telly free from background noise - simply by being inside the loop area.
Home induction loop amplifier with optical connection
The Megaloop DAC induction loop amplifier is a dedicated induction loop amplifier, covering up to 30 square metres. The built in AGC (Automatic Gain Control) circuit maintains a clear and constant level of sound; this helps pre-vent the hearing aid from distorting. That means whatever the TV, radio or hi-fi volume; the hearing aid user will receive a constant level of clear sound with no background noise. If you want to connect your Smart TV the Megaloop DAC System has an integrated Digital Audio Converter, making this the easiest loop system to connect to modern televisions using the digital optical output socket on the TV. It is easy to install with just one Toslink Cable, which is provided. It is also easy to connect a radio or hi-fi to the loop amplifier, with the audio lead provided. Should your TV not have an optical output socket the microphone provided can be attached to the TV’s speaker. The microphone can also be used for conversation.
Home induction loop amplifier with lip sync and automatic SCART connection
The DLS-33TV is a complete assistive listening device for hearing aid users. It is developed for LCD/Plasma screens which often have echo or sound delay problems when used together with an induction loop system. With a built-in control (TV Lip Sound Sync) the TV sound is synchronized correctly. The DLS-33TV has a built-in automatic SCART (Euro connector) control which is easily connected to the SCART output of your TV. The autoscart function is needed whenever you have one or more signal sources (digibox, freeview, DVD, etc.) connected to the TV and secures the right sound in the loop. If you want to connect your radio, hi-fi or a microphone to the loop amplifier, use one of the two 3.5 mm inputs. These inputs make it possible to connect up to three different signal sources to DLS-33TV at the same time. The microphone provided can also be used for conversation.
Using a loop system in a car
An induction loop system can be used in a car. You will need a 12v car power adaptor lead and a loop pad.
